Our Winery

A Ferrante Family Tradition. The Ferrante Family has been selling wine since 1937 when Anna and Nicholas Ferrante opened their first winery in Cleveland's Collinwood area. In the 1970's, sons Peter & Anthony built state-of-the-art winemaking facilities in the family’s Harpersfield Township vineyards.  The Ferrante family currently cultivates 57 lush acres of estate grown grapes.

The combination of the Grand River Valley appellation and the southern shores of Lake Erie provides the ultimate microclimate to produce world-class wines. The winery currently boasts 23 different wines, including Vinifera grape varietals like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, & French-American hybrids like Vidal Blanc, Native American-Lambrusca grape varietals such as Niagara and Catawba.
Most recently, several fruit wines, and Bubbly effervescent wines have been added to the wine list. The cool climate growing region also plays a major role in one of Ohio's simplest pleasures, Ice Wine.

Winemaker Nicholas Ferrante is continually innovative and introduces new grape varietals such as Gruner Veltliner to the region; Along with multiple other winemaking techniques to provide you with an experience to please your palate.

Tours of our state-of-the-art winery are available Memorial day weekend through Labor day weekend on Saturday & Sunday at 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm.
